SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The search for a woman who’s been missing nearly a week is now focusing on Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis.

Twenty-nine-year-old Andreen McDonald was reported missing last Friday and her husband, Air Force Reserve Major Andre McDonald remains behind bars on a charge of tampering with evidence. The 40-year-old is a cyber warfare specialist.

Salazar says McDonald was seen at Camp Bullis shortly after his wife’s disappearance.

“Even though he’s an Air Force major, he had no official business on Camp Bullis that anyone can attest to,” said Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar.

Searching 28,000 acres of the Army PostĀ  is no easy task.

“We’re going to have to cut up the base into pieces and start searching it bit by bit,” said Salazar.

Volunteers are helping law enforcement officers search for any sign of Andreen McDonald. Investigators said last weekend that they don’t believe she’s alive.

“If they find something that may be evidentiary in value, we ask them not to touch it. We want to preserve it and they should let a law enforcement member of their team know so that we can document it and collect it properly,” Salazar told KTSA’s Trey Ware Morning Show.

The command post for the search at Camp Bullis is at Eisenhower Park onĀ  NW Military Highway.
