A lockdown at the White House and the Capitol has been lifted
UPDATE
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The White House and the U.S. Capitol were placed on a temporary lockdown Tuesday morning after a plane entered restricted airspace near the Capitol.
NORAD tweeted that “tasked aircraft” were responding. ABC’s Karen Travers says reporters at the White House were kept inside the briefing room for about 40 minutes and other pass holders were not allowed to enter the grounds. Officials now tell ABC News that the aircraft was deemed non-hostile and the lockdown has been lifted.
