Seguin Police investigating shooting involving six vehicles

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Seguin Police is asking for the public’s help in an investigation into a shootout on Wednesday evening.

Police said the shooting was reported around 7:25 p.m. near Traeger St and W Kingbury and the caller reported the occupants of multiple vehicles were exchanging gunfire.

Through the investigation, officials learned that at least six vehicles were involved in the shooting: a black Chevrolet truck, a maroon Chevrolet truck, a yellow sedan, a blue 1990’s Buick sedan, a light green SUV, and a silver four-door sedan. Police are asking for help with identifying two of the vehicles.

Officials said no injuries were reported but said there was property damage done to a home on Avenue B and to an unrelated vehicle parked at Davila’s BBQ.

“This was a very dangerous and reckless situation and we are extremely fortunate there were no injuries. We believe it takes our entire community to come together to ensure these suspects are identified and held accountable for their dangerous acts. We are blessed we are not working the homicide of an innocent person who may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Chief Terry Nichols said.

Officials are asking citizens who were in the area or residents who live near N Guadalupe and W Kingsbury to callb Detective Clint Halbardier at 830-379-2123. They are asking for eyewitness accounts and footage from Ring/Nest Doorbell systems or security cameras to help them identify the involved vehicles and their occupants.
