Seguin Police Officer hit by a car while responding to suspicious activity call

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Seguin Police Officer managed to avoid serious injury after getting hit by a car.

It started at around 7:30 P.M. Sunday when someone on Acorn Wood Road called to report suspicious activity.

The officer responded and made contact with a woman in a car. After ignoring commands to get out of the vehicle, the woman accelerated and hit the officer.

The officer was able to pull her gun and fired at the woman. She wasn’t hit but she did stop.

The Seguin Police Department says both the female driver and the officer were brought to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Information on charges against the woman haven’t been released as the incident is still being investigated.
