Senator Concerned About Growth of Wind Farms Near Bases

Hundreds of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars could be lost if wind farms continue to set up near military installations.

That’s according to State Senator Donna Campbell who tells us she has filed a bill to put a stop to the industry expanding near bases.

The Senator is concerned of the impact the wind turbines would have on military aircraft that is so common is the south Texas sky.

“Wind farms pose threats to pilots who have to navigate around them when landing and taking off.

Campbell fears if the bases aren’t mission ready, they’ll be shut down which would means hundreds of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars gone from the economy.
