Several San Antonio families displaced by fire at Northwest side apartment complex

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Several families were forced out of their homes Monday night as flames burned through an apartment building on San Antonio’s Northwest side.

Crews responded to the call from Wurzbach Manor Apartments on West Dean Pannill at around 7:30 P.M.

Nearly 20 families living in the building had to be evacuated. The fire damaged 12 of the apartment units.

Crews had extinguished the flames at one point but there were some embers in the ceiling, and the fire broke out again at around 2:30 A.M Tuesday.

The Red Cross has been called in to help the displaced families.

Investigators are looking for the cause.
