SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Westbound traffic on Highway 151 was shut down for a short time Sunday while officers attempted to round up a couple that were on the lam.
Some nearby residents reported that a couple of sheep had been grazing in a field and some San Antonio Police Officers who were in the area responded.
Since shepherding is not part of the training process at the police academy, they had some difficulty stopping the sheep from getting on to the highway.
Armed with ropes they tried to lasso the wayward lambs but the elusive ewes managed to avoid capture and got to the road.
Officers held up traffic until the sheep where corralled into a fenced in area at Animal Care Services.
ACS sent out a tweet reporting that the sheep are doing fine.
