Silver alert canceled for New Braunfels man

UPDATE: Silver alert for James Lawson Butler has been canceled.  Butler has been found.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The Comal County Sheriff’s Office has  issued a ‘Silver Alert’ for a missing senior citizen who’s armed with a gun.

James Lawson Butler was last seen Tuesday afternoon in New Braunfels wearing a blue shirt, khaki shorts, grey tennis shoes and a chain necklace.  He also was wearing a watch and a ring and has a medical device from his navel to his leg.

Butler was driving a black 2005 Ford F250 with some body damage.  TX Plates BN24242.

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who sees Butler to use caution because he’s carrying a gun and his considered suicidal.
