SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The Texas Rangers are helping investigate skeletal remains found at a home in Seguin.
Acting on a tip, officers discovered the human remains Sunday night in a bedroom of the house in the 900 block of Anderson Street.
“We believe the remains are those of an adult,” said Seguin police officer Tanya Brown. The gender has not been determined.
A woman and her daughter who live in the home have been questioned, but no charges have been filed.
The Guadalupe County District Attorney’s Office, the Texas Rangers and Texas State University’s Anthropology Department are working to identify the remains and determine the cause of death.
“Once we determine the cause of death and when the person died, then we will determine whether any charges will be filed,” said Brown.
She says officers have been called to the home on Anderson Street several times for runaway reports and cars blocking the roadway, but no violent incidents.
