SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A smoky fire forced the evacuation of a building at San Antonio College Monday. It started around 2 Monday afternoon in a restroom on the third floor of Moody Learning Center on North Main near West Myrtle.

Firefighters sounded a second-alarm when they saw thick, black smoke on the third floor, but those extra crews weren’t needed. Woody Woodward with the San Antonio Fire Department told KTSA News says there was more smoke than fire. He says it started in a trash can in the restroom.

Crews remained on the scene for a couple of hours as they tried to clear the smoke.
