South Texas boy charged with making terrorist threat against Walmart store

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A 13-year-old south Texas boy faces a charge of making a terroristic threat on social media against a Walmart store in Weslaco.

The store was closed for a whilen Wednesday night after the teen reportedly posted the threat on Instagram. When it was shared to Facebook, the boy’s mother became aware, and she drove her son to the police station herself.

Police searched the boy’s home and didn’t find any weapons. The threat comes only a few days after 22 people were shot dead in a Walmart in El Paso.
