Spurs Set to Battle Rockets

The San Antonio Spurs drive for another Championship resumes Monday Night–when the Houston Rockets roll in to town for Game One of the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Spurs and Rockets square off after Houston defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in round one–while the Spurs had to battle to beat the scrappy Grizzlies in six games.

“The one thing I do like about it is Memphis is a heck of a defensive team, and they play pretty rock ’em sock ’em… and I think that gets you ready for anybody you’re going to play” Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich said following his team’s Game Six win in Memphis.

The Coach also said the first round series should have set a good tone for his players.

“For a lot of our guys that haven’t been with us a long time or are new… to see how it works in the Playoffs… how things are going to be called” Popovich said.

As for round two, the Spurs know they’ll have to make some adjustments.

“It’s going to be a different look… different personnel… different weapons” Pau Gasol said.

“I mean they’re rolling. They spread out the floor… great shooters… got bigs in there, rebounding, put backs… just a good overall team… playoff team” Kawhi Leonard said.

Tip Off is set for 8:30 Monday Night at the AT&T Center.
