Street racers cause multi-car crash on San Antonio highway

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Street racers are being blamed for a multi-car crash Sunday night.

It was around 11:30 on Loop 410 near Callaghan when one of the speeding cars hit a vehicle that was on the shoulder of the road.

What followed next was a chain reaction crash that involved 8 other cars.

The driver who caused the crash and the other racers were long gone by the time police arrived.

About 20 people who were involved in the crash were left behind to explain what had taken place.

The crash caused the eastbound lanes of Loop 410 to close until early Monday morning.

No serious injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
