Survey rates Texas as a top “road trip” state

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The weather is warming up and gas prices are going down. Sounds like the perfect situation for a family road trip.
But where should you go?
The personal finance website Wallethub has compiled a list of the best states for road trips.
They considered several factors including which states have the lowest average gas prices, cost for hotel rooms and most attractions.
Texas comes in at number 5 following Virginia, Minnesota, Wyoming and North Carolina.
Rhode Island ranked 50th. Of course it’s the smallest state in the nation so it would be one quick road trip.
