Taylor Heckled at Vigil

San Antonio again remembers the victims of the Orlando Attack–but some used a candle light vigil Thursday in Crockett park to make another statement.

A group of protesters disrupted Mayor Ivy Taylor as she was speaking at the vigil, apparently upset by her presence.

“We won’t always agree. on everything–but I think we should all agree that all humans are serving of respect and dignity” Taylor said.

“I don’t know her–but I do thing there is a political aspect to it to show face” one man told us.

Many in the San Antonio LGBT Community remain frustrated with Taylor on the heels of her “no” vote to the City’s non-discrimination ordinance while she was a member of Council.

I think everybody wants to see action–they want to see change” another man said.
