Teacher at a Texas High School arrested for possessing and distributing child pornography

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A High School teacher in Navasota has been arrested for downloading sharing child porn files online.
The US Attorney’s Office says 29 year old Daniel Byrd was arrested last week and charged with distribution and possession of child pornography.
The agency says Byrd would use Kik and Telegram to look at the files and download them, then share the images through online groups that are dedicated to child pornography.
Byrd is looking at 20 years for distribution of child pornography and up to 10 years for possession.
The Navasota ISD says they don’t believe any students were involved and that Byrd has been placed on leave from his job at Navasota High School.
