Teen Shot Dead Leaving Party

A 17-year old girl is dead after a party comes to an end early Monday Morning with gunfire.

SAPD Sergeant Jesse Salame told KTSA News it appears some sort of fight broke out as that party was breaking up in the Downtown area.

“In talking to some of the witnesses that were in the vehicle with her, they had driven her to the hospital after they had left a party or gathering of some sort over on Cavalier and Nogalitos Street” Salame said, adding the girl suffered the fatal gunshot wound when someone fired on the car she was in.

“It might have been some type of disturbance with some of the occupants of the vehicle she was in and some of the people at the party” Salame said.

Police are working to put all of the pieces together–including who fired the fatal shot.

“We’ve got a bunch of witnesses we’re still talking to right now in homicide” Salame said.
