Tejano music star Little Joe tests positive for COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Tejano music star Little Joe is battling COVID-19. The 79-year-old singer announced on Facebook that he’s self-quarantined at home after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
“I followed all the guidelines,” said Little Joe, whose real name is José María De León Hernández. “I wore a mask, washed my hands often and kept my social distance, so this is just a reminder of how contagious this virus is.”
Hernandez was notified about the positive test results this past Monday.
“If you feel like you have flu-like symptoms, have yourself tested. It’s not just about you, but those around you,” he said.
The Grammy winner from Temple, Texas has Little Joe has performed around the world with the Latinaires and La Familia.
