SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A sales tax holiday on emergency preparation supplies is planned for this weekend.

The Texas Comptroller’s Office says you can buy certain emergency supplies tax free. Some of the items exempt from taxes range from non-electric can openers and first aid kits, to phone chargers and portable generators.

There’s no limit on the number of each item you can buy and you don’t need to provide any tax exempt paperwork to get the tax break.

It begins at 12:01am Saturday and ends at midnight Sunday.  Follow this link to a list items that do and do not qualify
