Texas adding more floating buoys in Rio Grande
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — President-elect Donald Trump will not be inaugurated until January 20, 2025, but preparations for mass deportations and border security are taking shape quickly.
In a post to X, Governor Greg Abbott promised not to back down while showing video footage of more floating buoys being placed in the Rio Grande River.
A legal battle between Texas and the White House has gone back and forth since the floating barrier was installed in 2023. But with Trump heading back to the White House in a matter of weeks, Texas may have fewer obstacles when it comes to maintaining its constitutional right to protect its border from what Governor Abbott has called an invasion of undocumented foreigners from all over the globe.
Texas placed more buoys in the Rio Grande River this morning.
Despite the Biden-Harris Administration’s attempts to shut down our border security efforts, the buoys are here to stay.
