Texas Authorities search for inmate who escaped from jail in Brazoria

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are searching for a man who escaped from jail in Brazoria.
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says 39 year-old Robert Yancy Jr. was last seen Sunday afternoon. He escaped and drove away in a white Nissan Versa, with the license plate number DNR9145.
Authorities say he was wearing a black beanie and a black sweater.
Yancy was serving a life sentence without parole for Aggravated Assault of a Child out of Victoria County.
Authorities say if you see Yancy, do not approach him, call 9-1-1 immediately.
