Texas Land Commissioner urges residents to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) –The official start of Hurricane Season is a few weeks away and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush is hoping you’ll prepare now.

“While no one can control the weather, everyone can take steps to be prepared and stay prepared.”

Bush recommends reviewing your flood insurance policy or buying one. He also suggests securing your home and making sure important documents are in a safe place.

“Every day we are working hard at the General Land Office to change the way Texans prepare for natural disasters, and that begins at home.
