Texas National Guard, State Troopers deployed to border to assist with immigrant crisis

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Texas is getting ready for another large caravan of migrants on the way to the southern U.S. border.

Governor Greg Abbott tweeted a video showing dozens of trucks that will be used to patrol the border region.

His tweet states the Texas National Guard and state troopers are working together to close off surge locations and that they will arrest foreign trespassers.

“Texas National Guard is gearing up at the border for increased caravans attempting to cross the border caused by Biden’s open border policy. ”

South Dakota is sending help as well, deploying 125 of its National Guard members to the border. They’ll stay for nine to 12 months.
