Three shot in altercation at Haven For Hope

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police responded to an active shooter call at Haven For Hope Tuesday night.

It was around 10 P.M. when a man showed up at the facility which provides shelter and recovery services for area residents.

The man began beating on the doors and two security officers attempted to get him to stop.

But the man refused and got into a physical altercation with the officers.

At some point, the man was able to get one of the security officer’s gun. The weapon was fired during the scuffle and the security officer was hit in the leg.

The second officer was also shot in the leg but pulled his gun and fired at the man, hitting him three times.

The security officers and the man were all sent to hospitals. There’s been no update on their conditions.

The incident is still being investigated.
