Three unattended children lead San Antonio Police to their critically injured mother

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police Officers made a disturbing discovery in an East side apartment.

Police were called to a gas station on East Houston Street at around 3:30 A.M. Tuesday when three young children showed up, unattended.

They told the officers their mother was dead and they were trying to find their father’s house.

The children brought the police to their apartment on Upland Road.

When the officers made their way to the bathroom, they found a woman in the bathtub, bleeding heavily from several puncture wounds.

She was sent to the hospital in critical condition and at this point it is unknown whether or not the wounds were self inflicted.

The children, ages 4, 5 and 8 are now with relatives.

Police are looking for the woman’s boyfriend, who was reportedly at the apartment before the police arrived.
