Tip Top Cafe Allows Open Carry

While many businesses and restaurants are opting out of Open Carry, one San Antonio landmark restaurant is opting in.

“A sign that says you can’t bring a gun in here, evil people don’t read that sign,” Tip Top Cafe’s Managing Partner Jim Scott told KTSA News. “There’s guns everywhere in San Antonio, you just don’t see them, and honestly I think that makes us all safer.”

The Tip Top Cafe will allow open carry about both restaurant locations.

“I think it’s a good law and it helps make for a more civil society,” Scott said.

He traces his beliefs back to the American Revolution.

“My family has always believed you have a right to carry your guns and the government has no right to take them away from ya.”
