SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The date is set for the retirement of Tony Parker’s number 9 jersey. There’s been no official announcement from the Spurs, but the French newspaper Le Parisien reports the ceremony will be Monday, November 11th, when the Spurs host the Memphis Grizzlies at the AT&T Center.

Parker, who spent 17 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, won four NBA Championship rings as one of the team’s “big three” with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.

Parker retired from the Charlotte Hornets this summer, telling ESPN’s The Undefeated,” If I can’t be Tony Parker anymore and I can’t play for a championship, I don’t want to play basketball anymore.”
