Traffic stop leads to drug bust for Bexar County Narcotics Unit

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A big drug bust for the Narcotics Unit of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies had made a traffic stop near Wurzbach and Exchange Monday afternoon and discovered a cardboard box packed with 11 kilograms of meth.

42 year old Rodger Hernandez and 34 year old Jay Haggard, both known gang members, were arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute.

The roadside bust lead to the search of a home on Flipper Drive where more meth, guns and cash were discovered.

The street value of the drugs is more than half a million dollars.
