Trey’s Take: Encouragement For The New Year

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” – Prov 29:18

It’s hard to believe but 2018 will soon be history. Time seems to be speeding up as the days and years fly by.

At the Warehouse (our home) we are talking, dreaming, and planning the new year. We are in the process of writing vision statements for the areas of our lives that impact us daily.

Some of the headings include:

Spiritual – Relationship with God.

Family – As a couple, and as Grand-Dude and Nana

Home – Plans for the house we live in.

Financial – Dreams and vision for the upcoming year.

Relationships – Extended family, friendships, and business.

Work – Our travel company (Dream Departures Travel), and my media work.

A vision is not the same as goals. While goals tend to be more specific and measurable, a vision encompasses dreams, and those things you see through your eyes of faith.

The Bible says God sees the end from the beginning, and that His purposes will stand. – Is 46:10

So as we look forward to a new year I just wanted to encourage you to step off the daily treadmill of life long enough dream big dreams. Exercise your faith, see the end from the beginning, and try not to limit yourself.

Realize your life has immeasurable value and purpose. You were born for this time. God has big plans for you.
