Trickster leaves Seguin Walmart with extra $2,700; police search for suspect

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Seguin police are looking for a man who they say quick changed a Walmart out of $2,700 on two occasions earlier this year.

Police say a man used a slight of hand trick on January 10th and February 12th to make out with the extra cash.

The department said quick changing happens when a suspect uses this trick while counting out their change.  The suspect will count out the change and indicate to the employee that they were shortchanged — with the rest of the correct change hidden in another hand.

Police say “Seguin has their very own magician on the rise” and would like to talk to him so they “can book him… for his next magic performance, of course. 😉

If you have information that can help the investigation, you are asked to call the Seguin Police Department at 830-379-2123.
