AAA study finds most Americans don’t trust fully automated cars

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Attitudes towards self driving vehicles don’t seem to be changing.

Joshua Zuber at Triple A Texas says that’s likely due to some high profile crashes involving the vehicles that have taken place in recent years.

AAA’s did their annual automated vehicle survey which found that 71 percent of people are afraid to ride in fully self-driving vehicles.

Zuber admits that it will take some time to change the minds of American motorists and education is key.

AAA is conducting ongoing, unbiased testing of automated vehicle technologies as well as researching how related emerging technologies can help reduce or prevent crashes.
