Truck rolls over in San Antonio, dumps thousands of soda can tops onto IH-35

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Can you believe this?

An 18 wheeler hauling tops for soda cans crashed on IH-35 at around 11 P.M.Wednesday.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office the truck rolled over after a tire blew out between Kinney and Shepherd Roads.

The driver lost control and hit a guard rail and when the rig rolled over, thousands of soda cans tops spilled onto the highway.

The driver was brought to University Hospital with injuries that are said to be non-life threatening.

The Southbound lanes of the highway were closed while crews removed the can tops from the road.
