SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – While Democratic presidential hopefuls were getting ready to debate Tuesday evening, Donald Trump Jr. was firing up a crowd of  nearly 800 people at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, with others outside the room.  He said the Democrats have nothing to offer.

“They are the party of dependents. They need you to be dependent on them,” said Trump Jr. “Without that, they don’t offer much.”

His girlfriend and senior Trump campaign adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle said the left is “losing it.”

“I mean, I’m not a doctor, but it seems like there’s no known cure, although Jr. likes it every once in awhile when I play nurse, but let’s keep that between us,” she joked.

She also said she’s known President Trump and his son for fourteen years.

“I know Don Jr. a little bit better. Let’s just get that out of the way , shall we?” said Guilfoyle.

Trump Jr. lashed out at the media, saying they’re going easy on Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and his dealings in Ukraine.

“The media has now said the family is off limits,” said Trump Jr. as the crowd booed. “Kimberly, was family off limits with the media parked outside of your apartment for the last two years as I’m going through this nonsense?” he asked. “No baby, they frustrated me,” Kimberly replied.

He says that’s why his father tweets. Some have asked him to urge his father to back off of twitter, but Trump Jr. said that’s the only way he can get his message out.

“He was never going to get a fair shake. He has to take it there. He has to be aggressive about getting it out there,” said Trump Jr.

He said his father has kept his campaign promises and has given conservatives a voice.

“I’m done turning the other cheek, guys,” Trump Jr. told the crowd.

Both said Trump must be re-elected to keep the country strong.

“We need you all in this fight with us. It’s why we need you calling your friends. We need you volunteering,” Trump Jr. said.

Martha Doss was wearing a “Latinos for Trump” t-shirt because “I’m for capitalism, not socialism. I’ve got several family members, including myself, who own businesses, and  the left wants to tax us for working hard.”

Antwon Williams was selling Trump  merchandise outside the Convention Center. He said he’s a member of Blacks for Trump.

“Unemployment is down, I mean, I love the guy,” said Williams.

There was a sea of MAGA hats and some banners in the audience.  Kay Turner displayed a banner that read ,”Trump 2020, No More Bull****.

“It’s just time that everybody step up or we are finished as a country,” said Turner.

President Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, told the crowd this election will be won “neighborhood by neighborhood.”
