SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Trump detractors are frothing over comments the President made about a man attending a rally in New Hampshire.

It happened in Manchester Thursday night.

Several protesters were behind the President and as he turned around to look at the commotion, one of them was being taken away by security.

Trump also spotted a man shaking his fist.

That’s when Trump turned to the microphone and said:

“That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home and start exercising”

After directing security to “get him out of here”, Trump said the man has a bigger problem than he does and “has a bigger problem than all of us.”

Trump had one more burn for the man.

“Now he goes home and his mom says what the hell have you just done.”

The already enthusiastic crowd gave their approval and the President continued with his speech.

But was the target of Trump’s taunt a protester?

The Associated Press is reporting that the fist shaking man Trump called out, was actually a Trump supporter wearing a “Trump 2020” t-shirt and he was shaking his fist as a sign of support for the President.

The man in question hasn’t come forward to respond to Trump’s comments. However, Trump detractors have been active on Twitter with comments on the President’s weight along with the girth of his supporters.

Video of the event doesn’t give a clear view of the man or his choice of shirts.
