24 San Antonio police personnel under quarantine amid coronavirus pandemic

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The latest figures from the San Antonio Police Department show five officers have tested positive for COVID-19.

Thirteen officers and 11 civilians are under quarantine.

The fifth officer to test positive last week worked in the patrol division out of the East Side substation.

The fourth officer is a sergeant who’s recovering at home. It’s unknown how the sergeant contracted the novel coronavirus.

Three other officers have tested positive. The first was on March 31. The officer had contact with a family member who had traveled to New York.
