Two additional Comal County coronavirus deaths; case count up to 38

CONVERSE, Tex. (KTSA News) — Comal County announced Monday two more people have died from the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The county said both deaths were men in their 80s who had been hospitalized in San Antonio.  One man from Bulverde died Saturday while the other from south of Canyon Lake died Sunday.

Additionally, the county confirmed one more case Monday.  This case involves a patient under the age of 19 who lives south of Canyon Lake and is currently isolated at home.  That brings the total case count to 38.

Comal County now has 16 active cases, 16 recoveries and 6 deaths related to the coronavirus.  Two of the active cases are hospitalized in New Braunfels while the rest are in home isolation.
