SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Bexar County Deputies escaped injury Thursday morning when two men started shooting at them.

It happened at around 3 A.M. on Twinbear Creek, near Highway 90 and 1604.

The deputies were investigating some possible car burglaries in the area. As the deputies arrived on the scene, two men opened fire on the patrol vehicle.

The vehicle was hit two times but the deputies inside were not hurt.

The shooters ran off and tried to hide by breaking into a home. But the homeowner chased them off and after about 45 minutes they were taken into custody.

Their names haven’t been released but Sheriff Javier Salazar say they will share more information on the shooters later today.
