Two Fort Bliss soldiers killed in training exercise in New Mexico

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Two soldiers from an Army post in Texas have been killed in a military training exercise in southern New Mexico. Seven other military members remain hospitalized after the crash Tuesday night involving two Stryker vehicles on U.S. Route 54, about 30 miles from El Paso.

El Paso TV station KTSM reports the soldiers were part of the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss in El Paso.

One of the soldiers is identified as Corporal Cole Wixom of Bloomingdale, Michigan.  The identity of the second soldier has not been released.
