Two injured when car rolls over during street race on San Antonio’s East side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two men are in the hospital after crashing their car while racing along an East side highway.

FOX 29 reports police were called to IH-35 near North New Braunfels at around 1 A.M. Wednesday.

They arrived to find a car that had rolled over and two men sitting in some grass.

The men tell police another driver started acting aggressively towards them which caused them to wreck.

Police say it’s likely the men were involved in a street race and the driver lost control.

The men were helped out of the rolled vehicle by some passing motorists. They were brought to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

The crash forced traffic onto the access road for a few hours so crews could clear the scene.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is still underway.
