SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two women have died in a crash on the South side.
Police got the call at around 4:30 A.M. Monday about a crash at Highway 16 and South Zarzamora.
The women were driving through the intersection when they were hit by another woman in a S-U-V.
Police say she had run the red light at a high rate of speed and t-boned the car the two women were in.
She tried to leave the scene of the crash but officers located her as she was walking along Highway 16.
The names of the deceased haven’t been released as police are still investigating the crash.
The S-U-V driver was brought to a hospital where she will be evaluated and undergo testing to determine whether or not she was intoxicated.
