SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two men have been arrested in the murder of a man who had gone missing in San Antonio.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said 45-year-old Shane Bourret was in town from out of state doing some work in the area and had last been heard from May 1st.  His wife, who is living out of the state, reported him missing May 7th.

Bexar County sheriff Javier Salazar said investigators were able to find his body buried in the backyard of a vacant house on North San Felipe on San Antonio’s West Side Wednesday.

Bourret had been temporarily living on Autumn Vista off of DeZavala on the Northwest Side and it is not clear why his body was at its eventual destination.

Police in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, arrested 34-year-old Colin King, who will be facing a murder charge in Bexar County when he is extradited back to Texas.  The sheriff’s office has also arrested 60-year-old Donald Barber on a tampering with evidence charge.

“[Bourret] had some sort of working relationship with at least one of the suspects in the case,” Salazar stated Thursday night at a news conference.  “It was a violent homicide that occurred due to some sort of disagreement they may have had.”

It’s not clear what kind of disagreement it may have been and the sheriff did not release any additional information about the case.  Bexar County district attorney Joe Gonzales, who was also at the news conference, did not have any additional information to share about the case.

Salazar stated that there are likely more suspects in the case and the investigation continues.
