Two men stabbed in downtown San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are investigating two early morning stabbing incidents.

Police were called to the VIA Centro Plaza on West Houston at around 3 A.M. Friday.

They found a 33 year old man with a stab wound to his upper torso. He told the officers that 3 black men stabbed him while he was sleeping under a bridge.

While officers were taking the man’s report, they received another call for a stabbing in front of the Bexar County Jail, which is less than a quarter of a mile away.

That’s where another man was found with 3 stab wounds in his chest. He wasn’t able to provide a description of his attackers but based on information provided by the first victim, transit and park police stopped 3 men who were nearby and matched the description officers were given.

The men were photographed and those images were sent to the officer who was with the first stabbing victim who confirmed one of the men stabbed him.

All three men were brought in for questioning while the two men who were stabbed were brought to SAMMC. They’re both expected to recover.
