Two teens caught breaking into cars in San Antonio in custody

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police have two teenagers in custody after they were caught while trying to break into a vehicle on the East side.

The 18 year old and 16 year old were attempting to get into a car on McKinley Monday night but the alarm went off, getting the attention of two residents.

They went outside and saw the teens get into another vehicle and speed off. The residents jumped in their own vehicle and started chasing the pair.

During the pursuit, one of the teens started shooting at the residents, blasting out windows and injuring one of them.

Police were able to stop the teens and took them in without further incident.

The resident who was injured was treated at a nearby hospital.
