TX Secretary of State: Get Out and Vote

Texas’ Secretary of State stops in Bexar County encouraging you to get out and vote.

“We’ve had over 15 million registered voters,” Carlos Cascos said.

That number is the most in state history. Judge Nelson Wolff expects a big turnout in Bexar County.

“We’ll have about 500,000,” Wolff said. “We’re thinking it’s going to be a little bit over 500,000, we have more registered voters this year.”

“If for some reason someone is just not happy with the top of ticket, don’t throw the whole vote out,” Cascos pleaded. “There’s a lot of down ballot races in this community that are critical.”

Early voting starts Monday.

“Get out and vote, please, please,” County Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen said. “We’ve had record numbers of registrations, we want to see record numbers of voters.”

She said the county is ready for it.
