TxDOT: Numerous closures scheduled for Loop 1604 Expansion

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Texas Department of Transportation is announcing multiple weeknight closures for Loop 1604 between I-10 and Highway 16.

Additional closures are set for weekdays and weekends.

Weeknight closures

• Sunday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 18. Weeknights. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Alternating Loop 1604 eastbound mainlane closure from Bandera Road (SH 16) to I‑10 for portable concrete traffic barrier installation. Nightly alternating mainlane closures. One lane to remain open at all times. Excluding weekends.
• Sunday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 18. Weeknights. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Alternating Loop 1604 westbound mainlane closure from I-10 to Bandera Road (SH 16) for portable concrete barrier installation. Nightly alternating mainlane closures. One lane to remain open at all times. Excluding weekends.
• Sunday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 18. Weeknights. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Alternating Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road lane closure from Bandera Road (SH 16) to I-10 for portable concrete traffic barrier installation. Weeknights. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road lane closure from John Peace Boulevard/La Cantera Parkway to I‑10 for eastbound flyover ramp bridge construction. Nightly frontage road closure. Only one frontage lane closure to occur per direction. Excluding weekends.

Weeknights. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Loop 1604 westbound frontage road lane closure from the I-10 interchange to John Peace Boulevard/La Cantera Parkway for westbound collector-distributor bridge construction. Nightly frontage road closure. Only one frontage lane closure to occur per direction. Excluding weekends.

• Friday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 4 at 4 a.m. Weekend closure. Loop 1604 westbound mainlane double right lane closure from Babcock Road to Kyle Seale Parkway for paving and milling operations. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through intersections.
• Friday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 4 at 4 a.m. Weekend closure. Loop 1604 westbound frontage road left lane closure from Babcock Road to Kyle Seale Parkway for paving and milling operations. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through intersections.
• Friday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 4 at 4 a.m. Weekend closure. Loop 1604 westbound entrance ramp closure after Babcock Road for paving and milling operations. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through intersections.

 Long-term closures

• Sunday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 18. Daily/Nightly. 24 hours a day. Loop 1604 eastbound to westbound turnaround closure at La Cantera Parkway/John Peace Boulevard for bridge construction/retaining walls. Only one turnaround to be closed at a time on each direction.
• Sunday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 18. Daily/Nightly. 24 hours a day. Loop 1604 eastbound to westbound turnaround closure at Kyle Seale Parkway for bridge construction/retaining walls. Only one turnaround to be closed at a time on each direction.
