UIW student carjacked at gunpoint on campus

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Police are looking for three men who robbed a college student at gunpoint at the University of the Incarnate Word.

According to UIW’s Facebook Page, the student told police three young men on foot waved her down around 9:20 Friday night as she was driving on the campus on Broadway near Highway 281 and Hildebrand.  When she stopped to ask if they needed help, they asked to borrow her phone .  Then they pulled a gun and took off with her phone and her gray 2018 Audi Q3.  UIW police say the trio — two African-Americans and one Hispanic –drove off campus heading west on Hildebrand.

San Antonio, Olmos Park and Alamo Heights police are working with the UIW Police Department as the search continues for the suspects and the car.
