SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man was killed while apparently trying to cross Interstate 10 in San Antonio late Monday night.

San Antonio police say the man, whose identity has not been released, appeared to have been trying to cross the interstate near Callaghan Road at around 11:20 p.m. after possibly running out of gas on the shoulder.

Police say the man appears to have been struck by a motorcycle in the middle lane of the 7-lane roadway.  That impact appeared to have severely injured him in the middle of the highway.

The man was then struck again by several other vehicles.

Police say the man likely did not feel the impact of those following impacts and was pronounced dead at the scene.
