USAA hosting a hiring event for Military Spouses in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — USAA is hosting a hiring event for military spouses.

For many military spouses, finding a job isn’t easy. Employers will look at a resume’ and see the many short term jobs and the constant relocating and not bother to ask why.

USAA’s Christian Bove talked to KTSA about Wednesday nights event.

“About two dozen companies are going to be here, looking to hire military spouses. Of course USAA, Rackspace and a host of other organizations will be here.”

Bove says it’s a networking event so if you want to attend, you need to pre-register. You can follow this link to get to the online registration form.

“Military spouses bring a lot to the table. They’re competitive. They’re driven. All things that can really benefit an employer.”

The event is being held from 7 until 9 Wednesday night, in the USAA location at 10750 McDermott Freeway.

“Bring your resume and get ready to network with some incredible organizations.”

There are more than 500,000 civilian spouses of active duty military members nationwide.
