VIA makes tweaks to its schedules to adjust to ridership demand

BEXAR COUNTY, Tex. (KTSA News) — VIA Metropolitan Transit will be making some changes to its services to adjust to ridership demands.

VIA cut back service at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March.

The transit agency said these changes will increase frequency on some lines, reduce frequency on a few others, and make some other minor tweaks to service.

The full list of changes can be found on VIA’s website.  The tweaks go in effect Monday.

VIA said riders should only use the bus to make essential trips and everyone must wear a mask to board a bus.
