Officers were called to the 1800 block of Paso Del Sur at around 2 P.M. Sunday. That’s where they found the 18 year old victim with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

The victim tells police he was walking along Merida Street when another vehicle pulled beside him and the two men inside started shooting.

But witnesses are telling police a different story. they say the victim had been in the car with the two men and when they all got out, the two men started shooting.

The men reportedly got back in the blue sedan and took off.

Police searched the area and found shell casings from two different guns but the shooters are still on the run.

Officers believe it was a targeted shooting and will continue their investigation.
